Special Education Teacher (Bilingual in Spanish preferred)

Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to students with special needs, collaborating with other educators, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Teach students with special needs according to their IEPs
• Collaborate with other teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement effective educational programs
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements

• Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
• LBS-I certification in the State of Illinois
• Experience working with students with special needs
