The Special Education Teacher – Autism Support positions are located at the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA. Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas.
• Provide specially designed instruction for eligible special education students.
• Plan curriculum and lessons.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior.
• Support objectives and interventions of the educational program.
• Maintain a safe physical environment in the classroom.
• Maintain contact with parents and/or professionals concerning student progress.
• Develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students when appropriate.
• Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other required documentation.
• Function as an integral member of the treatment/IEP team to address student needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education.
• PDE Special Education certification required.

Pay

• Instructional I: $62,155 – $89,730
• Instructional II: $64,834 – $93,324
• Master’s degree: $69,353 – $101,911
• Master’s degree plus 15 credits: $72,740 – $105,924
• Master’s degree plus 30 credits: $74,415 – $107,845

Salary is for the 2022–2027 school year (professional).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours per day.
• Year 1: 194 days/year
• Year 2: 191 days/year
• Year 3 and beyond: 190 days/year
