About the role

The Trenton Board of Education seeks an Elementary, Middle & High School Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification or eligibility for appropriate certification.
  • All applicants must upload proof of certification for the position they are applying for at the time of application.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements written instructional plans that meet the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of all students.
  • Creates and maintains a classroom environment that supports learning and is developmentally appropriate.
  • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives aligned with those goals.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the district's philosophy of education and its instructional goals and objectives through instructional practices and professional conduct.
  • Establishes and maintains positive, cooperative relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
  • Performs other duties and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.
