Requirements

• Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (with secondary)
• Certified Teacher in either PK-3 or K-6
• Certificate of Eligibility
• Valid NJ Teaching license
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferred but not required

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects, social skills, and life skills
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress, adjust instructional approaches, and ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
