Special Education Teacher (Resource) - School-Based | 2026-2027 School Year High School Resource Setting | Full-Time Location: Glendale, AZ Start Date: September 8, 2026 Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week Contract Length: 36 Weeks Openings: 1 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a high school team in Glendale, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity to support students in a resource setting while collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to help students achieve academic success and build confidence for the future. The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment, providing individualized instruction, and helping students reach their full potential through meaningful educational support. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals.Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.Foster a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.Special Education Teaching Certification preferred and may be required by the district.Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.Current CPR certification, if applicable.TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.Current health certificate, if required.Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.Must be at least 18 years of age.Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
