Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained Program) - School-Based | 2026-2027 School Year Full-Time Special Education Opportunity Location: Litchfield Park, AZ Start Date: September 8, 2026 Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week Contract Length: 33 Weeks Openings: 1 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school-based team for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity supports students in a Self-Contained Special Education Program, providing individualized instruction and support designed to help students reach their academic, social, and behavioral goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating an engaging learning environment, collaborating with educational teams, and making a meaningful impact on student success through structured, student-centered instruction. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations.Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment.Adapt instructional strategies and curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.Collaborate with general education staff, families, administrators, and related service providers.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.Special Education Teaching Certification preferred and may be required by the district.Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.Current CPR certification, if applicable.TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.Current health certificate, if required.Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.Must be at least 18 years of age.Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
