About the role
The Academic Intensive Learning Program (AILP) at Killingly Memorial School serves students in grades 2-3 with intense intellectual and academic learning difficulties. The program operates in a specialized classroom designed for children with autism and other levels of intellectual disability.
Responsibilities
- Implement highly structured classroom management techniques
- Collect and analyze data using Dynamic Teaching Indicators (DTI)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
Requirements
- A current 065 or 165 special education degree
- Experience in special education is preferred
Qualifications
- Knowledge of autism and other forms of intellectual disability
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
