Special Education Teacher - 2026-2027

About the role

Primary responsibility is to provide special education services for elementary school students in an inclusion environment. The qualified candidate will have a background in working with elementary school students who have learning disabilities.

Qualifications

• Hold a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education K-12 General Curriculum or Specific Learning Disabilities K-12, or be eligible for such.
• Emphasis on candidates who are highly qualified in one or more core content areas.

Pay

Salary range for the 2026-2027 school year is $54,590 - $85,329. Additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. Fully licensed successful candidate eligible for a $5,000 signing incentive and a $5,000 VRS qualified stipend.

Schedule

Full time, 10-month position (200 days, 7 hours per day).

Location

Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary School.

Start date: 2026-2027 school year.
