About the role
The role involves providing educational support to students in a special education setting within the main office. The candidate will assist with daily classroom activities, manage student behavior, and collaborate with teachers and parents.
Responsibilities
- Support students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist with lesson planning and classroom management
- Monitor student progress and report to teachers and parents
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Texas teaching certificate or ability to obtain one
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
