About the role
The role involves ensuring equitable access to academic instruction and participation for diverse student populations. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and supporting evidence-based services and/or specially designed instruction to meet unique student needs, collaborating with the education team to strengthen connections between home, school, and community, and enhancing student outcomes and development through reflection, advocacy, and leadership.

Requirements
Due to the unique nature of many Special Education positions, a variety of these positions are eligible for an annual stipend of $12,000. The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and other key duties that may be required.
Qualifications
Meets subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education and Academy District 20 requirements. Preferred qualifications include a Special Services Provider License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education, Special Services Provider License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, establish and maintain effective working relationships, follow oral and written instructions, greet and interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner, maintain confidentiality, manage simultaneous demands and set clear priorities, use technology to improve instruction and learning, interpret test data, perform duties as directed by supervisors and administrators, perform non-instructional duties as directed, plan and deliver effective services in an environment that facilitates learning for students, provide services aligned with state and federal laws, local policies and procedures, Colorado Academic Standards, the organized plan of instruction, and the individual needs of students, respond to a complex, dynamic environment, supervise volunteers and paraprofessionals where applicable, support and establish safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environments for a diverse population of students, understand and respond to diversity within the home, school, and community, use and integrate technology to support professional responsibilities, instruction, data interpretation, and student learning, use effective conflict resolution, utilize feedback and reflect about professional practice to improve teaching and learning, utilize formal and informal assessments to inform planning and service delivery, work collaboratively with the families and/or significant adults for the benefit of students.

$52,020.00 - $83,163.00 (Based on education and experience at 100% FTE)
Schedule
37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, 183 days per year
