About the role

This is a professional position within the Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy (SUIMA), responsible for the coordination of special education needs for students and families in the school setting.

Pay

$68,004.00 annually.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Education or related field
• 3 years of experience providing special education services to elementary students
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• Strong computer experience in software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid Driver’s License for state of residency and insurable under the Tribal Vehicle insurance policy
• Pass a thorough background check including Criminal History and fingerprint check
• Pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Native American Children
• Ability to speak and/or learn the Ute Language
• MA/MS degree in Education or related field
• 2 years of experience performing management duties in an educational environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Southern Ute Indian Tribe
