  • About the role

    The primary responsibility of the School Bus Monitor is to ensure the safety and supervision of students on school buses. This includes monitoring bus routes, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures, and maintaining a safe environment for all passengers.

  • Responsibilities

    • Maintain order and discipline on school buses during transportation.
    • Ensure all students are properly seated and secured before departure.
    • Monitor bus routes and report any issues to the Transportation Director immediately.
    • Assist in the loading and unloading of students at designated stops.
    • Ensure that all safety equipment is functioning properly and available for use.
  • Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Experience working with children preferred but not required.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Qualifications

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Good physical condition to perform the duties of the position.
    • Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid.

    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
