Special Education Resource Teacher (Anticipated)

About the role
To be a successful teacher in Flossmoor 161, you will implement the instructional and behavioral components of the individualized education program for students, establish great rapport with students, motivate students to develop skills and knowledge needed to achieve success at each student's ability, and establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
District 161's instructional programs work on a team with other special education teachers as well as administrators, a social worker, a speech language pathologist, and district psychologist to provide amazing learning experiences for our students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Education.
- Must have taught Special Education Resource in the last ten (10) years or have taken coursework, seminars or workshops relevant to Special Education Resource in the last two (2) years.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
