About the role
Supports students with special needs in a classroom setting under the supervision of a licensed teacher.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Helps students with daily living skills and academic subjects.
- Maintains a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with students with special needs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of educational technology and resources.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
