Special Education Paraprofessional (PT)

About the Role
In-person position, Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Minimum availability required: Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included).
As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral and educational support in a school setting.
- Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.
- Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
- Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
- Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
Requirements
- Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred).
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Required immunizations including MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hep B, and TB clearance (within 4 years).
