What You'll Do

  • Assist teachers with preparing and delivering instructional materials and activities
  • Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher directions
  • Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs under the direction of certified staff
  • Affirm and reinforce positive behaviors
  • Implement behavior support strategies and help maintain a safe, structured environment
  • Distribute and organize classroom supplies and instructional resources
  • Maintain records and assist with grading and reports
  • Help keep the classroom neat, organized, and engaging
  • Monitor and report any student safety concerns

What We're Looking For

  • Average of 2 years of college education or passing a District-approved assessment
  • Basic record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Understanding of instructional support practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Patient, positive, and supportive attitude with students with disabilities
  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and handle stressful situations
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
