What You'll Do
- Assist teachers with preparing and delivering instructional materials and activities
- Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher directions
- Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs under the direction of certified staff
- Affirm and reinforce positive behaviors
- Implement behavior support strategies and help maintain a safe, structured environment
- Distribute and organize classroom supplies and instructional resources
- Maintain records and assist with grading and reports
- Help keep the classroom neat, organized, and engaging
- Monitor and report any student safety concerns
What We're Looking For
- Average of 2 years of college education or passing a District-approved assessment
- Basic record-keeping and organizational skills
- Understanding of instructional support practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Patient, positive, and supportive attitude with students with disabilities
- Ability to manage time, multitask, and handle stressful situations
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
