Responsibilities

• Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
• Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, and the community
• Speak clearly and concisely in written and oral communication
• Perform arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret graphs
• Work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry
• Apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Deal with abstract and concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
• Interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form

Requirements

• Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional (view state requirements)
• High school diploma or higher
• No certificates or licenses needed
