About the role

Lakeland Joint School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional at Lakeland High School for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in the classroom setting
• Assist teachers in providing instruction and managing classroom activities
• Participate in planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide support to students in extracurricular activities and social settings

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• Associate degree (AA/AS) preferred
• Two years of college coursework recommended
• PASSING SCORE ON THE IDAHO PARAPROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT OR PRAXIS TEST REQUIRED
• Experience working with school-age children
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of the principal and/or classroom teacher

Benefits

Pay

• $16.62–$18.82 per hour, DOE

Schedule

• 6.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, during the school year
