Special Education Paraprofessional (2026-2027 School Year)[Immediate Start]

Grade level: Middle school and high school positions available at multiple locations.

Salary: $40,000–$49,500 based on up to 10 years of aligned experience. Relocation stipend offered if moving from more than 75 miles from Denver. Full-time, benefits-eligible, non-exempt, in-person position with flexible start dates.

About the role

Our Special Education Paraprofessionals support the educational, behavioral, social-emotional, physical, and daily living needs of students with disabilities. Your specific role and responsibilities will vary based on setting and campus location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention plans for one or multiple students.
• Help teachers develop lesson plans, prepare materials, and collect data for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collect academic and behavioral data to support student progress.
• Maintain a structured, organized, and routine-oriented learning environment with varied instructional formats.
• Support general education teachers with students needing extra help in the classroom.
• Communicate daily with families and maintain confidentiality with student records.
• Facilitate positive interactions between students, staff, and peers.
• Assist with assessments, provide extended time for students, and implement skill-replacement curriculum focused on inclusion and behavior development.
• Participate in professional development, including Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavior Assessments, and social cognition training.
• Lead or participate in best-practice sessions, peer coaching, and conferences.
• Perform additional duties such as supporting student recruitment, running advisory classes, after-school tutoring, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Demonstrate “In-Field” Status to be a Paraprofessional within 30 days of start date.
