SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAEDUCATOR - WRAP
About the role
This posting is for the 26/27 school year at Dessie Evans Elementary. Flexibility to ride the bus is offered, and the position may primarily work with one student.
Responsibilities
- Rides the bus to and from work.
- Works primarily with one student.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following conditions met:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher from an accredited college or university.
- ParaPro Assessment score of 455 or higher (ETS).
- Pearson Paraprofessional assessment score of 220 or higher (not administered by PSD).
- Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program score of 65% or higher (not administered by PSD).
- Completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
Qualifications
Candidates must upload documentation verifying their qualifications to be considered for employment. This includes providing a copy of an official college transcript or a passing score in one of the following assessments:
- Education Testing Service ParaPro Assessment
- Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment
- The Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program (not administered by PSD)

PESPA Level 3
Conditions of Employment
- Completion and attainment of the state-mandated General Paraeducator Certificate.
- Completion of 28 hours of training on the Fundamental Course of Study provided by the district.
