Special Education Paraeducator / Specialized Program Paraeducator

About the role

Silver Creek High School seeks a Special Education Para and a Specialized Program Para. Both positions are full-time equivalent (FTE) 0.875, working 5 hours per day, 7 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implement lesson plans and assist teachers in providing a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other school staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching strategies and support student success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Colorado teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal laws related to special education.
• Proficiency in using technology tools for educational purposes.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
