Special Education Level V Paraprofessional

Job Duties

• Aid students with special needs in the classroom (behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention, and instruction in basic skills)
• Supervise special education students to ensure their safety
• Collect and monitor student progress data

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Ability to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Willingness to accept direction from supervising teachers and work as a team

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level V from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour
• Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions
