Responsibilities

Create and lead lessons that support students' unique learning needs.

• Write and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Use different teaching strategies
• Adjust lesson plans based on student progress
• Build a positive, structured classroom environment
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and other team members
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
• Stay organized, track student progress, and ensure compliance with school policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid State of Florida teaching certificate
• Status of Eligibility, Temporary Teacher Certification, or Professional Licensure
• Experience planning IEPs and differentiated instruction
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of child development and instructional best practices
• Commitment to professional development and student success
• Ability to manage tasks, prioritize goals, and meet deadlines
• Comfortable using technology and alternative communication tools
• Reading, ESOL, and ESE endorsements are preferred
• ESE certification is also a plus
