Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiates procurement processes and procedures for special education contracts in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Develops requests for sealed proposals, invitations to bid, or other approved procurement methods.
- Conducts contract and invoice reviews.
- Initiates requests for proposals for grants.
- Makes sure expenditures for contracts and grants are monitored and complete required tracking forms and other reports associated with the grants.
- Collaborates with and trains program staff responsible for project oversight.
- Collaborates with other agency departments with responsibility for special education grants and contracts.
- Attends meetings and responds to inquiries from project staff.
- Aids department management with budget development and oversight and other special education fiscal matters.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree, or, a Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant professional experience with federal or state grants or contracts.
- (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
- Two years of experience (in addition to education requirements) within the last five years working with budgets, grants, or contracts at the local, state, or university level.
- Skilled in aspects of fiscal or grant management.
- Ability to coordinate the completion of projects and work effectively with diverse teams.
