About the role

The Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) seeks to hire a Special Education Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe) Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
• Provide direct instruction and support to preschool students with special needs
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure comprehensive support for students
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills

Qualifications

• Valid California credential authorizing service in Early Childhood Special Education Moderate/Severe (ECSE)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $74,796 - $144,274, reflecting a 100% contract. Additional benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Pay

The starting salary will be placed on the July 1, 2025 Teacher Salary Schedule, with one year of step credit for each year of previous experience, up to a maximum of 14 years.
