Special Education: Educational Technician (1022)

Responsibilities

• Supporting Special Education Teachers in implementing students' Individual Education Plans
• Collecting data
• Following behavior support plans
• Instructing students in various content areas as assigned
• Working closely with elementary students in grades K-2 with varying academic, developmental, and functional needs
• May need to work 1:1 or in small groups
• Assist with leading the class if the teacher steps away for a special education meeting
• Supporting students in all settings, including the general education classroom

Requirements

• A current Maine Ed Tech certification
• Fingerprinting
