Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to the ethics and values of the social work profession and uses their code of ethics to guide ethical decision-making.
- Demonstrates the core values of service, social justice, dignity, and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence.
- Complies with all local, state, and federal mandates related to informed consent, privacy and confidentiality, access to records, and access to education and special education as appropriate.
- Conducts assessments of individuals, families, and systems/organizations with the goal of improving student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes.
- Uses data and assessment to guide service delivery and evaluates their practice to improve and expand services.
- Understands and uses evidence-informed practices in their interventions to enhance positive educational experiences.
- Intervenes within the multi-tier framework including schoolwide prevention programs, small group and short-term interventions, and individual and long-term interventions.
- Maintains accurate data and records that are relevant to planning, implementation, and evaluation of social work services.
- Serves as leaders and consultants to facilitate an understanding of factors affecting students' educational experiences.
- Provides training and engages parents, school personnel, and other professionals and community members in the removal of barriers to learning.
- Provides leadership and collaboration in the implementation of comprehensive school-based and school-linked programs to promote student well-being and positive academic outcomes.
- Participates in individual and group supervision, professional development, and is part of the professional learning community to advance their skills and practice.
Qualification Requirements
- Master's degree from a graduate school of social work or counseling program.
- LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, LCPC-c certifications/licenses.
- Existing knowledge of behavioral interventions and capable of sharing this knowledge to stakeholders.
