Hallway, lunchroom, passing periods, loading and unloading buses, convocations, and other supervisory duties

  • Supervise students in hallways, during lunch, passing periods, loading and unloading buses, and at convocations.
  • Implement programming as directed by classroom teachers, administrators, or the Case Conference Committee.
  • Follow assigned school and school corporation policies.

Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

  • Assist students with bathing/showering, dressing, transferring to/from a chair, toileting (including diaper changes, catheterization and use of a toilet), and eating (both mechanical and enteric).
  • Perform other activities related to personal care as needed, including suctioning, medication administration, and ambulation.
  • Support students with ADL limitations, requiring extraordinary self-discipline, patience, and understanding.

Other Support Tasks

  • Perform other support tasks as directed by the teacher, department chair, or principal (or designee).

Equipment Use

  • Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier, fax machines, and telephone.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Pay Rate

$15.75 per hour + .75 cent differential

Work Schedule

The position's hours will be scheduled between 6.5 and 7.5 and will be finalized at the time of hire, depending on student needs. 182 days per year

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required.
