Ashuelot Valley Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher Academic Case Manager to join our dynamic team in Keene, NH. Responsibilities
- Teach and manage academic programs for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Create engaging lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
- Utilize project-based learning and innovative strategies
- Assess student progress and provide quarterly updates
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Supervise teaching assistants and support curriculum development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
- New Hampshire Teaching License (or be enrolled in a certification program)
Qualifications
- Experience teaching middle/high school students
- Experience working with students who have emotional or behavioral challenges
Skills
- Strong instructional skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
