As a Special Care Aide (SCA), you'll play a unique and critical role on our team. You'll be the first face many new clients see when they begin services with Elara Caring, helping create a positive experience from day one. Serve as a key connection between clients and the branch team, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and a seamless care experience.

Responsibilities
- Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities
- Perform housekeeping and household support
- Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and visit records
- Provide coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs
- Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients
- Promote Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, where required by state regulations
- Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
- Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required
- Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
- Reliable personal transportation, current registration, and auto insurance
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties
