About the role
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the investigations conducted by the Department of the Treasury's Office of the Inspector General (OIG). The OIG is responsible for investigating allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement within the federal government.
Responsibilities
- Conducts investigations into allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement within the federal government.
- Interviews witnesses and subjects to gather evidence and information.
- Prepares investigative reports and recommendations based on findings.
- Works collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Ensures compliance with legal standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least two years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience in criminal investigation.
- Knowledge of federal laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
