The Low Voltage System Engineer (LVE) supports the Rahway Campus by being the subject matter expert for low voltage (

Responsibilities

• Support the design, operation, and maintenance of low voltage electrical equipment.
• Review and develop electrical operating procedures to support operations, projects, and maintenance.
• Handle various projects related to electrical and utility infrastructure.
• Address system nonconformances and proactively address system deficiencies.
• Work cross-functionally, coordinating with different departments and external partners.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams on preventative and corrective tasks.
• Establish systems and processes to measure and drive performance and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company, municipal, state, federal, and industrial requirements.
• Investigate complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Develop and implement initiatives to support the corporate sustainability vision.
• Support the medium voltage electrical team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of facilities, utilities, or power plant operations.
• Technical understanding of emergency generators, electrical generation, UPS, ATS, SCADA, and control systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of EIII and NFPA standards.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, or reliability engineering.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of engineering applications such as AutoCAD, SKM, and ETAP.
