Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that incorporate conversation, songs, games, movement, stories, and cultural exploration to make language learning meaningful and fun.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to create enriching learning experiences.
  • Foster strong relationships with students and families.
  • Support the academic, social-emotional, and cultural growth of every child.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience teaching elementary Spanish (TK-4th grade) required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English
  • Ability to teach foundational Spanish through games, songs, stories, and hands-on activities and incorporate Spanish language and culture into engaging lessons
  • Strong classroom management and inclusive instruction for students of varying needs
  • Passion for inspiring young learners through engaging, inclusive, and creative instruction
  • A collaborative, reliable, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills and a willingness to support the school community

Qualifications

  • Experience with hands-on training with a mentor-teacher, 1:1 coaching sessions, and team check-ins with the Leadership Team
  • New Hire Welcome Workshop, Teacher In-Service Staff Development Days, CPR/First Aid certification course offerings & more
  • The ability to collaborate with creative team members to design the physical environment to meet the changing needs of young children
  • Career Growth Programs and New Leader Trainings with opportunities for leadership roles as a Head or Master Teacher or School Administration

$26-32/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements.
