Spanish Teacher Grades 1-4 Part-time
About the role
The Spanish Teacher position brings Spanish language skills, language immersion, cultural and artistic perspectives to students in Grades 1-4. An ideal candidate will be a native speaker of Spanish with a command of English and previous teaching experience with ages 6-14.
Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish language and culture to Grades 1-4 students
- Immerse students in Spanish language and cultural experiences
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Spanish into the curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans and materials for Spanish classes
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Engage students in artistic and cultural activities related to Spanish-speaking countries
Requirements
- Native speaker of Spanish
- Fluency in English
- Previous teaching experience with ages 6-14
- Experience with Waldorf education principles
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Spanish
- Experience teaching Spanish to children
- Knowledge of Waldorf education principles

Benefits
This position is on-site at WSL’s campus. It involves 6 hours of contact time and preparation hours per week. Compensation for the role is $21/hr. This position is an hourly, non-exempt role.
