Spanish Teacher
Job Summary
Georgetown Preparatory School, the nation's oldest Jesuit high school, seeks a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Applicants should be fluent in Spanish and capable of teaching all levels including AP. The ideal candidate will have experience with beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of the language. They must be enthusiastic, energetic, and willing to teach as part of a team, aligning with the Jesuit model of education and the philosophy of cura personalis.
About the Role
Located outside Washington, DC and founded in 1789, Georgetown Prep is an independent, Jesuit, college preparatory, residential and day school for young men in grades 9-12. With an enrollment of 490 and an average class size of 16, the school requires a commitment to its mission and values, as well as the willingness to contribute to the co-curricular program.
Responsibilities
- Teach all levels of Spanish, including AP
- Work collaboratively with other department members
- Align with the Jesuit model of education and the philosophy of cura personalis
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish
- Experience teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
- Enthusiasm and energy for teaching
