Spanish Teacher

About the Role

Central Catholic High School (CCHS) is seeking a dedicated World Language - Spanish Teacher for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. The position is for an educator who will deliver high-quality instruction within a Catholic, college-preparatory environment while supporting the School’s Catholic Marist Mission, supervising students effectively, and promoting high expectations for achievement.

Responsibilities

• Empower all students to develop and apply their unique strengths, passions, and curiosities.
• Use student data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth within a collaborative, multi-tiered system of supports.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Use research-based instructional practices to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including Multilingual Learners (MLs) and advanced learners.
• Develop and implement both content and language objectives for every lesson to support linguistic growth and academic progress.
• Be available beyond the regular workday to assist students with extra help and support as needed.
• Regularly monitor student performance through formative and summative assessments, assignments, student observations, and other tools.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Manage instruction, materials, and effectively transition between classrooms (mobile teaching), maintaining consistent student engagement and instructional expectations.
• Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that fosters student engagement and promotes academic and behavioral success.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff in Professional Learning Communities to improve instruction using High-Quality Instructional Materials and research-based strategies.
• Participate in school-based committees, professional development, and faculty meetings.
• Maintain professionalism and high moral standards when working with students, staff, and the community.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns, utilizing translation and interpretation services as needed.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
• Actively pursue and implement professional development strategies and learnings into the classroom, integrate emerging technologies, and align with evolving district and Massachusetts state education vision, initiatives, and policies.
• Perform occasional lifting of instructional materials, setting up classroom activities, and moving throughout the school building.

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. with a strong GPA in relevant coursework.
• Must hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License for the applicable grade level and subject area.
• SEI endorsement required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to design and deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction and differentiate to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including Multilingual Learners (MLs) and advanced learners.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
• Successful completion of background checks as required by Massachusetts state law and School policies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with diverse student populations preferred.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $59,244–$92,809, based on education and experience.
