Spanish Teacher

About the role

Holy Cross High School is searching for qualified candidates for their World Languages Department. Candidates will be responsible for teaching course work in various levels of Spanish. Holy Cross High School, a Catholic secondary school located in Queens, New York and sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross, teaches and lives values which, in the Catholic tradition, are rooted in the Gospel and form the foundation of a response to that life. We believe these values require each person to recognize their need for: a spirituality centered in Christ; a developed intellect; emotional, physical and social maturity; and an understanding of the Christian truth of each person's universal relationship to other persons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with the Common Core Standards.
• Tailor curriculum to engage students with computer-supported instruction.
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
• Participate in the school community and professional development.
• Effectively manage all classes.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in education or a related field.

Skills

• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Pay

Base Pay $50k to $60k
