About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques
- Reduce interfering behaviors in children with autism
- Provide support and encouragement to children with autism and their families
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Adapt to the unique needs and abilities of each child
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child's care
- Ensure safety and well-being of all individuals involved
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and TB test (if not done within the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (not required but preferred)

Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.
