About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
- Provide support and encouragement to children with autism, helping them reach their full potential.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in behavior analysis and child development.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals including BCBA's, therapists, and parents to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and positive environment for all children and staff.
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Bilingual in Spanish
Additional qualifications
- Experience working as a: Behavioral Technician, Working in some capacity with children with autism or other learning disabilities, Teacher’s Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide
