Spanish Language Instructor (Part Time, In-Person)

General Responsibilities

• Mets regularly with the Director of Educational Development
• Plans and facilitates group and/or 1:1 beginner Spanish language instructional sessions
• Aids students in developing appropriate study skills, completing homework and projects, and exploring topics of interest to the student
• Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development
• Models appropriate academic and social behaviors
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels
• Possesses good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Demonstrates responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
• Knowledge of academic content and skills
• Application of such knowledge and tools to help students access material
• Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction
• Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations

Qualifications

• Must have extensive teaching and/or tutoring experience in Spanish and be able to provide proof of vaccination
