Spanish Dual Language Instruction Coach

General Responsibilities

• Provide collaborative coaching to Spanish Dual Language Immersion (DLI) educators to improve bilingual instruction and student achievement.
• Deliver ongoing, job-embedded support to teachers.
• Strengthen Spanish language development and biliteracy outcomes.
• Collaborate with school leadership and district teams.

What You Will Do

• Lead coaching cycles focused on Tier 1 DLI instruction.
• Model effective Spanish immersion strategies and academic language use.
• Support curriculum implementation and language allocation fidelity.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction.
• Facilitate targeted professional learning.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficiency in Spanish (Native or near native proficiency required as measured of an OPI score of Advanced Mid or higher) as well as a deep understanding of immersion pedagogy.
• Completion of a teacher certification and current Utah Educator’s License.
• Willingness to learn and implement effective coaching cycles.
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality professional learning experiences.
• Commitment to collaboration with partner schools and districts.
• Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to use data to inform instruction and professional learning.
