Spanish Certified Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to use their cultural knowledge to help non-English speakers in their community. We have an immediate need for Spanish interpreters in the Norfolk area.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for clients in medical and other settings
• Use online portal to print and upload vouchers
• Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• Fully bilingual (please include all languages you speak in your resume)
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Interpreting experience and/or certification required
• Must have transportation to attend local appointments
• Must have access to a printer
• Pass background checks and drug screens
• Provide proof of vaccination or medical/religious exemption documentation (required for medical facility compliance)

Schedule

PRN (as needed), part-time or less, with flexible hours based on interpreter's availability and preferences. Applicants must have some availability Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM, as this is when services are typically needed. Hours are not guaranteed and depend on availability, languages spoken, and client needs.

This is an independent contractor position.
