Spacecraft Integration Engineering Technician

Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on assembly of the primary and secondary structure, including sheet metal panels, machined parts, and mechanisms
- Rout, install, secure, and inspect avionics and power harnesses on integrated vehicles
- Install electro-mechanical components including mechanisms, avionics, power, and propulsion hardware
- Support propulsion system integration and high-pressure operations following released procedures and safety protocols
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, test, quality, and design engineering to resolve hardware issues in real time
- Follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures, performing all work in the MES system (scanning, material consumption, and built traceability)
- Support cleanroom final integration activities including payload integration, functional testing, troubleshooting, vehicle handling, and shipping preparations
- PRACTICE 5S principles of organizing and sustaining an efficient and presentable workspace
- Provide consistent process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership
- Occasionally support component assembly in sub-assembly stations
- 5+ years of experience assembling, integrating, and testing flight hardware in the aerospace industry
- Proficiency with computers and ability to use MS Office and shop floor management software
- Familiar with calibrated tools including multi-meters, calipers, torque wrenches, load cells, safety cable guns, and crimpers
- Demonstrated high level of ownership and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
- Ability to read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)
- Experience working with engineering teams in development and production environments
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment
- Experience working with electromechanical systems and familiarity with electrical schematics
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate hardware and systems problems, and provide feedback on improving tooling processes and part design
- Airframe & Powerplant License
- Ability to obtain or current hold top secret/SCI security clearance
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as bending or twisting, grasping, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, carrying, and use hands to operate tools or machine controls
- Must be able to lift and carry parts or equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed

Hourly pay range for this non-exempt role is $35 - $45 + equity in the company
