About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Spa Manager, the Spa Attendant Supervisor is responsible to work alongside as well as supervise a team of Spa Attendants to ensure all day to day standards and procedures are adhered to delivered at the highest level of guest satisfaction in the spa. The Spa Floor Supervisor maintains Inns of Aurora service and hospitality standards throughout all interactions. The Spa Floor Supervisor may also facilitate and participate in training and evaluations of the team.
Responsibilities
- Guide and support spa and café attendants during shifts
- Keep the spa clean, safe, and welcoming
- Monitor guest behavior and ensure guests are following spa etiquette
- Help guests and staff with quick fixes
- Display professionalism and attention to detail to serve as an example and leader to the rest of the Spa Attendant team
- Ensure spa areas are immaculate, safe, and in good repair
- Understand first aid/emergency procedures and direct guests accordingly
- Collaborate graciously with all resort departments
- Support team members by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching, as needed
- Maintain a calm demeanor when confronted with difficult situations, to set a positive example for team members and guests
- Develop positive relationships with Spa team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns
Requirements
- First Aid/AED/CPR certification preferred, or willing to become certified
- Computer and technology proficient: Excel, Word, Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Masterful at computer systems/POS
- Book4Time Software knowledge a plus
- Reliable and punctual; being present in the workplace daily is key to success
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and calm demeanor
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week
- Ability to sit, stand (for eight hours or more a day), reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less
- Excellent English communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven leadership qualities
- Ability to work cohesively with all Spa areas and co-workers as part of a team
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated success at working multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exercising good judgment with guest and employee situations and challenges
Pay
$22 hourly.
Schedule
Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
