Soybean Processing Plant - Sanitatioin Specialist

The Basics

Location: Cherryvale, KS
Compensation: $17.00/hr and up
Days/Hours: Mostly day hours, with some overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include cleaning various areas at the plant, including, but not limited to:

• Inside and outside of grain receiving
• Inside and outside of storage bins
• Inside and outside of oil loading
• Inside and outside of preparation
• Inside and outside of extraction
• Inside and outside of refinery

Common Activities Will Include

• Sweeping
• Shoveling
• Using compressed air to blow down
• Trash removal
• Assisting with routine facility maintenance

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

• This job can be physically strenuous
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• You will be required to wear PPE
