Southeast Development Director

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy aligned with national goals.
• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, with responsibility for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Identify and grow new donor relationships, with a focus on major and leadership-level gifts.
• Meet or exceed annual revenue goals for the SE region.
• Lead and coordinate regional fundraising efforts across individual giving, events, and other revenue streams in partnership with SE-based staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in similar or related role.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success securing six and seven-figure gifts.
• Strong knowledge of the Southeast and South Florida philanthropic landscape and donor community.
• Experience managing a team of sales or fundraising professionals.
• High degree of comfort interacting with high-net-worth prospects and donors.
• Skilled in relationship development with donors, lay leaders and colleagues.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented.
• Experience with CRM systems required; Salesforce preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize different forms of relevant communication to advance organizational objectives and inspire colleagues and supporters.
