(South Mountain) Noon Aide/Recess Monitor - Part-Time, 3 hours (August Start)

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision during recess, and share any challenges or unusual observations with teachers and school personnel.
• Pay special attention to safety, especially during changing weather conditions or other unique circumstances.
• Be ready for an active role, involving extended periods of standing, walking, and stooping.
• Encourage and assist students in gathering materials, games, balls, and other items for activities.
• Quickly report any injuries or unusual situations to the professional staff to ensure prompt attention and care.
• Cultivate warm and positive interactions with our scholars, creating an encouraging and friendly environment.
• Gently guide students away from inappropriate behavior and ensure they transition between activities in an orderly manner.
• Conduct daily checks of the playground, addressing any potential hazards to ensure a safe play area.
• Be prepared to respond appropriately to any emergencies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience working with children
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting or similar environment
• Basic first aid and CPR certification (Must be tested and obtained from in-person course)

Pay

$17.00/hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday; 10:15 AM-1:15 PM
