South Central Region Resources (Power/ Industrial/ Waste) Business Group Director

The South-Central Region Resources Business Group Director will lead initiatives across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, shaping resilient, sustainable, and forward-thinking communities through our diverse service lines, including Water, Architecture, Building Engineering Services, Field Services, Power, Waste, Industrial, and Transportation.

Responsibilities
- Develop and lead Resources Business Group (RBG) initiatives for the South-Central Region.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective regional business group program, including business development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, production methods and standards, all within established goals and objectives of the company and business group.
- Direct and deliver regional business group operations, including net fees booked and earned, operating profit, utilization, workshare, loss prevention/management, and overall business performance.
- Collaborate with area operations, RBG project teams, Global RBG Market Sector leadership, and Regional RBG leadership to enhance client development strategies, build new client partnerships, support programs, and pursue cross-business group opportunities.
- Drive the execution of RBG initiatives across the region, verifying alignment with regional priorities through close coordination with the Regional Director of Operations and Area Leadership.
- Develop and maintain a strong regional leadership structure and manage the regional RBG budget, including profitability, investment strategies, claims management, and overall regional RBG performance.
- Work cooperatively with other Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, Area Managers, and Market Sector Directors to drive Business Group strategies and initiatives in the Region.
- Mentor Area Business Group Managers and key personnel.
- Assist in the identification and prioritization of strategic hires and in the recruiting of candidates.
- Serve as the Business Group point of interface with Operations, adding a strong business skillset.
- Commit to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering, or closely related field.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a related field.
- Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.
- Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
- Works cooperatively with other regional business group directors, regional and local office managers, technical and marketing directors.
- Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
- Strong business skills to interface effectively with operations.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Position requires that the applicant resides within the South-Central region or is willing to relocate to an Area within the region.
- Senior Leadership experience in Resources Business Group, related Operations, and/or Sectors including Power, Industrial, and Waste.
