Key Responsibilities

  • Support all kitchen operations within your café
  • Play an important role in the success and development of your kitchen team
  • Help lead teams of Zone Leaders, Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Engage, inspire, and develop strong teams while maintaining operational excellence
  • Support kitchen production and service according to established operational standards
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and organization
  • Coach kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas
  • Maintain inventory within established guidelines while ensuring product availability
  • Aid in the implementation of seasonal menu changes

Essential Functions / Working Conditions

  • Ability and desire to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work 10+ hour shifts and stand, squat, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary or kitchen management experience in a high volume food service environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and a strong passion for culinary excellence
  • Strong understanding of quality execution, presentation, food safety, sanitation, and food cost controls
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience with UltiPro, Toast POS, CrunchTime, and Teamworx preferred
  • ServSafe, Allergen, and ChokeSaver certifications preferred
