About the role
The role of Sous Chef is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, providing guidance and support to the Head Chef, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in menu development and preparation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations
- Train and mentor junior staff members
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on special events and seasonal menus
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional chef experience
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Valid Food Handlers’ Permit
